I choose to work on 4 in 1 box and a ring box. Inside the ring box and 4 in 1 box, they are covered in purple velvet. In the ring box, the ring is placed in a purple cushion. I choose purple because based on colour theory, purple represents wealth, royalty, luxury and extravagance. This, it also shows that Lee Hwa sold best quality of jewelleries than other jewellery shops. All the base of the jewellery are squared. This is because based on shape theory, squares represents honesty to show that Lee Hwa Jewellery is the jewellery company that can be trusted. Another reason why I use square shaped is because it saves cost as compared to cylinder and other complex shapes. It also can be stored and kept easily for users. At both side of the jewellery box ( ring and 4 in 1 box), there is a curve that symbolise one part of the Lee Hwa logo. In 4 in1 box, the ring is secured from the belt, the earring have a clip to hold for the chain earring and a hole on top for a normal earring. Both bracelet and necklace have a hole at the side to insert them. The curve platform can be open if have problem of taking the jewellery out. The reason why I choose velvet is because it is smooth and thin. So therefore, it gives the users a distinctive soft feel. Velvet also can reflects light to give the jewellery to be shiny and more luxurious. For the template, I used a 4mm cardboard covered with paper.
